On a scorching day, Glenn found himself approached by a frail, weather-beaten old lady. Despite his initial hesitance, he rolled down his window, prepared for the usual requests. Rather than begging for money, the lady asked for a ride up the street to the nearby fire station.

Knowing the difficulty the old woman would face, Glenn agreed, still with some apprehension. During the drive, she shared her story—85 years old, widowed for 40 years, with no children. They approached the fire station, but she directed him further up a long hill.

She guided them to her building at the top of the hill. To his surprise, it was a secure building, far from run down. The guards greeted her warmly and thanked Glenn for his kindness. As Glenn turned to leave, he saw her bowing deeply and reverently.

A sudden realization struck him—could this have been Oyasama herself? The encounter prompted a profound shift in Glenn’s perspective. Glenn left with a newfound sense of humility and reverence.
