Helen was thrilled to be at the Tenrikyo Main Sanctuary, supported by her grandson, Glenn. When they reached the entrance, Glenn went to park the wheelchair and told his grandmother to wait right there. But Helen, feeling joyful and excited to be in the Home of God, started walking toward the altar, despite Glenn’s warnings.

Suddenly, a wave of dizziness hit her, and she lost her balance. She reached out frantically, but her hands found only the sliding shoji doors. Glenn had just parked the wheelchair and was momentarily looking away as Helen teetered on the brink of disaster.

Just as she was falling, she felt a warm, comforting presence cradling her head. Helen found herself gently guided to the tatami mat, safe and unharmed. She opened her eyes to see the radiant visage of Oyasama, who had saved her. With tears of gratitude, Helen whispered a silent prayer of thanks.

Glenn rushed back to help his grandmother, seeing only the last part of what seemed to be Helen falling in slow motion. Helen recounted her miraculous encounter to Glenn as he helped her back up. Her faith was renewed, her spirit uplifted by the divine grace she experienced. The encounter became a testament to the power of faith and the boundless love of Tenri-O-no-Mikoto. Helen carried the memory of her divine rescue, a symbol of faith and protection, for the rest of her life.
